hand.
- If you are dealt 21 from the start, you have
Blackjack.
- When you have Blackjack and win, customarily you win
1.5 the amount of your bet. This of course depends on
the casino.
- The dealer will 'hit' until his cards total 17 or
higher.
- When you 'double' it's like a 'hit', except the bet
is doubled and you only get one more card.
- 'Splitting' is when you have two of the same card ,
the pair is split into two hands. 'Splitting' also
doubles your bet, each hand is now worth your original
bet.
- You can only 'split'/'double' on your first move, or
first move of a hand that is a 'split'.
- You can't play on two aces after they are 'split'.
- You can 'double' on a hand resulting from a
'split', tripling or quadrupling your bet.
