The Casino Realty TV Show
Tom is under pressure, and despite his
efforts to find an innovative and quality show, The Golden
Nugget is getting desperate to find a new hit show that will
make the showroom a success. Tom quickly has Joe Leoni, the
Director of Entertainment, line up audition after miserable
audition to find an act. We quickly realize that this is no
easy task, even in Vegas.
This week we get to see just what it takes
to keep the entertainment at the Nugget fresh. We first see
Tim and Tom having a heated conversation about the Trashy
Lingerie Girls (from last weeks episode). Tom's attempt at
finding entertainment for the main showroom has come real
close to a complete meltdown. Now that Tim is back in town,
and clearly not on the same page as Tom, we start to see
things heat up almost to the boiling point.
Right about this time you might be
wondering where Matt Dusk is. Didn't Tim pretty much give
him the green light in Laguna? Well, not so fast it seems
that he will be staying at Zax for awhile so he can work on
building a bigger name for himself. We still can't help but
think Matt Dusk might be the best for the job after
witnessing some of the 'side show' auditions Joe has set up.
Meanwhile, Tommy (the blackjack dealer),
sees an opportunity to get in on the action of finding an
entertainment act when he spies Tony and Lloyd at the
buffet. Tony and Lloyd are a two man comedy act from Caesars
who are currently seeking a new venue. While these guys are
very entertaining to watch as they work the gaming area for
material for their audition, they swiftly run themselves
into a little trouble with the Director of Entertainment,
and the casino owners. Tony and Lloyd felt that in order to
really nail an audition they needed an audience. So they
handed out free fliers all around the Nugget to get
their audience. Once Joe and Tom get wind of this they are
not happy. Joe pretty much loses his cool and goes off on
Tommy. Then Tony and Lloyd are reduced to auditioning in
front of a video camera. It's just as well since they are
not all that funny after all.
Just when Tom feels he is running out of
potential acts to review, in walks Bernie Yuman. Bernie
manages Seigfried and Roy. With that type of reputation in
Vegas, Tom is intrigued. But first he has to convince Tim to
even show his face at the meeting. How can you blame him
after all those other interviews. Bernie tells Tom and Tim
that he has what they are looking for, but there is a catch.
Bernie won't tell them or show them what the act is about.
He only gives them a name. Downtown Gordie Brown. After some
serious haggling, they agree to let Gordie have a shot at
the showroom (based on a one year contract). Well, Bernie
came through and the show was a great success. The Nuggget
now has employed the greatest impersonator/entertainer in
the world. At least that's what Rich Little thinks. He was
in the audience to see the show.
With an entertainment act in place in the
showroom, it seems that things are looking better at the
Nugget. We will have to keep our eyes on Matt Dusk to see
where he will end up .
Check back next week when Tim and Tom hire
the Bikini Bowling Babes. This should be entertaining to say
the least! We'll also get to see if Tommy gets another shot
at Hosting. It seems he'll do anything but deal! Stay tuned
