August 16 / Episode Ten > The Casino
Reality TV Show
With all the confusion from the show's line up this past
week, we are pleased to see that this episode is another
really good one. As it stands now, we will be getting TWO
episodes a week! Sundays and Mondays! Things are bound to
heat up even more.
In this episode we are
pleased to see Geoff Mills (and his brother) resurface for
some more high stakes high-jinks. Geoff Mills is back at the
Nugget with more gambling and a proposal of marriage in
mind. Geoff, who is a frequent high-rolling guest, wants to
ask his girlfriend Kristin to be his wife. But first, he
must make good on a $300,000 marker (due in three days) he
owes the casino.
Tommy the new Junior Host, is
dispatched by Tim to fetch the Mills party at the airport
and make them feel at home. During the ride back to the
casino, Tommy mentions the marker and the upcoming due date
to Geoff. All is good.
After arriving at The Golden
Nugget, the Mills crew are quick to realize that there are
no refreshments in the room, and by this he means Grey
Goose, Red Bull, and veggie trays. Did we mention the Grey
Goose? Yeah, well they love it! After almost losing his
patience, the booze and Bull are in the hall. They quickly
make these HUGE drinks of Grey Goose and Red Bull and head
to the casino to play. Right away Geoff loses thousands and
wants another credit. The upper management says no way and
they want there marker paid too. This treatment does not sit
well with Geoff and he becomes upset. Not just at the fact
that they wont give him more credit, but at the fact that
they want the marker paid off a few days early it seems.
Because of this, Geoff storms out. Tommy dispatches after
him to smooth things over, and as expected, he does. Geoff
wants to start over with a clean slate. Before he can ask
Kristin to be his wife, he wants to pay his marker and he
does. No big deal after all.
While this is all taking place
we learn about the 'Re-launch Party Weekend'. Tim and Tom
are hosting a party weekend geared towards bringing back the
glory to The Golden Nugget. For the re-launch weekend they
are changing the chips (which now feature their likeness on
them), changing the uniforms of the employees, and going
back to an all around vintage look. Tim even bought himself
a new tux. For the
weekend festivities we learn that Tony Bennett is booked for
a performance as well as a benefit party for one of Andre
Agassi's charities.
Tony Bennett proves his
undying voice with a great performance at the Nugget. This
man has what it takes. It is easy to see why Matt Dusk is
thrilled to meet him. Matt has idolized him for years and
considers Tony to be one of his biggest inspirations. Matt
not only gets to meet him, but after much anticipation, Tony
shows up to see Matt sing. Matt is elated when Tony says he
'likes what this guy is doing'. Good for Matt.
At the benefit party for one
of Andre Agassi's charities we learn that $200,000 was
raised. This party also proved to be a star-studded great
time for all.
Finally we get back to Geoff
Mills and his proposal to Kristin. While Kristen is enjoying
some down time, Geoff and his brother Brian head to the
outer limits of town to write the words 'Kristin I Love You'
in huge white letters on the ground. This will been seen
when he takes her for a ride in a helicopter. While they are
in the helicopter (she thinks they are just up for a tour of
Vegas from the sky) Geoff is visibly nervous, but he still
finds the courage to ask her to marry him. She says yes of
course.
Then we are treated to the
true drama that comes with drinking and gambling. Kristen
and Geoff rush together an engagement party, with a lot of
help from there casino host Tommy, by flying in family and
friends to The Nugget for some good times. Well, after
things get going and everyone is showing up, Kristen gets a
little upset that Geoff wants to gamble more than anything
else. Things get worst when he tells her she is drinking too
much and that's why see is moody. She is clearly not happy
that he thinks this and he must calm her down, even though
it DOES look like he could be somewhat right about the
drinking. He does, and they go on to a party in one of the
ballrooms right there at the Nugget. Whatever happens from
here on out, we as the viewer already know it will be filled
with drama. Even thought there's a chapel on every street
corner and hotel in Vegas, does anyone REALLY think
gambling, drinking, and marriage are a good mix.
Well, one thing is for sure -
we'll WILL find out! Check back right here to see what
happens when Geoff and Kristen start to get those wedding
jitters (as promised). Will the wedding still take place?
What will happen to Tommy when his bosses notice he needs to
step up to the plate? Is his job in jeopardy? Stay Tuned -
