Pai Gow – An oriental dominoes game. 

Paint – A picture card in blackjack (Jack, Queen or King)

Paper – See ‘Marker’.

Parlay – When a player doubles their bet after a win. 

Pass – When the craps shooter wins, either by rolling a natural on the come-out, or by repeating his point before rolling a seven. 

Pass Line – The area on the craps layout, where a player places their bet in favor of the shooter winning, also called the Front Line. 

Pat Hand – A hand that a gambler would not normally draw from the deck, in order to add additional cards. 

Patience System – A gambling system that entails waiting until so many wins have occurred on a certain side before making a wager.

Pawn – Any numbers marked on a king ticket, which are in the Field. 

Pay Line – The row on a slot machine’s display that determines if the player has won a payoff. 

P.C. – acronym for Percentage, it represents the advantage - in percentage amount - that                       the casino has over the player.

Pit – A group of playing tables that are linked together. 

Place Bet – Acraps bet on the box number, which the casino pays off at less than true odds. 

Player Hand – The first of the two hands dealt in baccarat. 

Plus/Minus System – A blackjack card counting system;  See High/Low System. 

Point – The total rolled on a craps come-out, which must be repeated before rolling a 7,I in order to achieve a pass-line win. 

Power of the Pencil – The power of a casino to issue complimentary services to a player.   

Press – Increasing wager size after winning. 

Price – a) The total amount of a keno wager  b) The House Advantage of a particular wager. 

Producer – What casinos call players who consistently lose great deals of money at their establishment. 

Progressive Meter – The LED number that records the changing size of the giant progressive jackpot on a progressive slot machine. 

Prop – A player who is employed by a casino to play with the casinos money, and to play the games he is directed to play. 

Proposition Bet – a) The center crap layout wagers  b) Any casino game long-shot bet.

Push – A tie between a player and a blackjack dealer, or a tie with a player’s hand and the bank’s hand in baccarat.
