$100,000 Winning lottery ticket pulled from trash

February 18

In Indiana, Karrie Jeremiah pulled a discarded lottery ticket from a trash can. She said she planned to enter it into a second-chance drawing, only to later find out it was worth $100,000.

It seems that two other people had pitched in to buy the $5 Hoosier Lottery scratch-off ticket last week at the Chaperral Cafe. It is being reported that when a clerk at the cafe where the ticket was thrown in the trash told them it wasn't the $40 winner, they threw it in the trash.

Well, it wasn't a $40 winner, but it was a $100,000 winner!

Jeremiah, said she questioned whether the ticket's numbers were entirely checked before it was tossed into the waste basket.
