WSOP odds available at Aces.com

April 12

Each Year, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the biggest and best poker event anywhere on Earth. Known for its multi million dollar prize pool, this is the event to know about. Because many of the poker players in the event are finalists from various online casinos and online casino poker events, it is that much more interesting to the online casino community. More than any other year, there are many online casino players readying themselves for this year’s main event.

Bigger and better than ever before, the WSOP Main Event is drawing a lot of attention from online   casino sportsbooks. The first to post odds is Aces.com, a well-known online casinos sportsbook based in Costa Rica. Aces.com has a complete listing of odds on all the players that are expected to do the best. This is such a fun event to bet on because bettors bet on one player if they want. Knowing just how unpredictable this WSOP event is each and every year only makes betting that much more fun for all.

As always, the event will be hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada, the home of gambling.  Aces.com has already put odds on the event and is backing Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu as favorites to win the pinnacle of poker events – the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Because this is such an unpredictable event that can produce a winner that many of us may have never heard of before, the odds are interesting. Odds like 200 to 1, make even the favorites look like long shots, but as online casino players, we all know that will change as soon as players are weeded out of the event.

The 2006 WSOP $10,000 buy-in Main Event is by most accounts the Grandfather of them all. Its highly prized World Champion bracelet is known to all poker players to be the very highest achievement in any poker player's career – whether pro or amateur. In 2005’s event,  Joe Hachem beat out the other 5,618 players to become the latest player to get the prized bracelet and an incredible $7.5 million in cash winnings. This was a record breaker and we anticipate a new record this year, too.

Currently, Aces.com is even hosting its own qualifying events for a chance to go to the big game. Now through July, online casino poker players at Aces.com can participate in the online casino’s three weekly poker tourneys. The winner of the final event at Aces.com will be going to this year’s WSOP Main Event by winning the site’s $12,000 prize package.

Well known poker player Phil Ivey, is the early favorite with odds listed at 200 to 1. Last June he won a bracelet for being the best player at the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event. Ivey started his love affair with poker after his grandfather turned him on to the game

Daniel Negreanu has current odds at 250 to 1. He won two events at the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods in 1997. He was also named the tournament's best all around poker player. One year later, in 1998 – he became the youngest player to ever win the WSOP Main Event.

For all of you online casinos sports fans and poker fans out there that are interested in what the odds look like for your favorite poker player can take a look at these results we found at Aces.com today:
