New CEO at Cryptologic announced

April 3, 2007

In online gambling news of business today, we have read a press release stating that CryptoLogic, a principal software developer to the global online gambling casino industry, just announced the selection of Javaid Aziz as the gambling software company's new President and CEO. To his advantage as the new online gambling company’s leader, he brings three decades of technological and information technology experience to the company.

His resume is stellar as he was chief executive of IBM United Kingdom Limited and went on to create Aspective Limited, a well known and successful wireless application service provider and consulting firm.

Some of our online casino news fans out there that regularly read our articles, may remember that about 7 months ago, CryptoLogic announced that would be establishing its new global headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. This will guarantee management is closer to the majority of its business clients in Europe, a location where online gambling regulation is well known and legalized. The Internet gaming company plans to hold an individual meeting of shareholders next month to approve the reformation of the company into a UK company resident located in Ireland, whose shares will be listed on the various markets.

CryptoLogic’s CEO since July 2002, Lewis Rose, has worked hand in hand with the incoming CEO during the changeover and is a supporter of the move to Ireland as the next logical step in CryptoLogic's growth. At the time the company announced the move to Ireland, Rose announced his objective to step down as CEO because of family commitments remaining in the US.

As the initiate leader of the global online gambling software industry, CryptoLogic is one of the world's great technology accomplishment stories. As an online casino gambling fan, pretty much anywhere you go online to casinos you will see sites that carry this brand of gaming software. The companies many achievements have long been reported here at this gambling portal too.

CryptoLogic's brand is coupled with integrity, modernism and great economic performance.

The new CEO will be sure to bring impressive practices in leading an advanced technology to this new job. As we stated above, his resume is impressive. From 1975 and 1995, he climbed the corporate ladder of IBM, climbing to the rank of chief executive for the United Kingdom. After that 20 year experience at the computer company, he spent 4 impressive years as senior vice president of Silicon Graphics. He then founded Aspective in 1999 and sold it in 2006 to Vodafone Group.

From what we have seen and understand about this great online gambling software company, it seems that CryptoLogic has selected a knowledgeable new leader in both the management of an inventive technology company and a global business to become based in Ireland.

As for Rose, the parting is not an unfriendly one at all. Under his guidance, CryptoLogic constantly achieved new records in earning and innovations. He led the company's entry into the burgeoning online poker industry and built one of the top money making poker networks in the world. What’s more he is responsible for creating the most innovative casino offering in the industry as far as graphics go. After recognizing the authoritarian uncertainty in the US online casino gambling industry, he effectively shifted CryptoLogic's business overseas. He built new and enduring partnerships with many of the world's blue chip gambling and entertainment brands out there today. One great working relationship is the one he created with William Hill, and in recent times, Playboy and Holland Casino. He also put into place CryptoLogic's first existence in Asia, grew revenue from $34 million in 2002 to more than $100 million in 2006 – that’s just 5 years folks.

So, we have to tell you that this is not a man the company does not cherish. In fact, he will be cherished forever at the company.

He said in a parting news release that working with the stupendous people at CryptoLogic has been one of the major highlights of his long career. Additionally, he took a very new company let alone a new gaming industry company and transformed it into a business that's built for keeps and stability. Stay tuned, we will be.
