Trump
looking
for
primetime
condo
push
April
9,
2007
In interesting news in the online gambling world, we cannot help but report
on
this
-
come
on
its
Trump.
As sales were quickly closing on the more than 1,280 units in the $500
million
Trump
International
Hotel
and
Tower
last
summer,
Jack
Christie
began
thinking
about
the
project's
2nd
phase.
After
all,
the
sales
were
booming
and
plans
had
to
go
into
affect
for
the
next
game.
He is the VP of Sales and Marketing for Trump International, he was investigating
ideas
and
a
new
time
line
for
accommodating
reservations
to
purchase
units
in
the
huge
development's
planned
2nd
tower
when
he
mentioned
and
began
discussing
it
with
The
Donald.
Not even a week later, a Trump jet landed in
Las
Vegas
and
off
stepped
the
six
remaining
candidates
vying
for
a
$250,000
a
year
job
with
the
developer
as
part
of
the
NBC
reality
TV
series
The
Apprentice.
Can
you
believe
this
show
is
in
its
6th
season
– we
wonder
what
the
odds
are
at
the
online
gambling
sport
books
are
about
how
long
this
show
will
go
on.
Along with The Apprentice (which will provide so much media coverage and
advertising
for
the
Vegas
project)
contestants,
the
whole
film
crew
and
production
of
the
TV
show
was
in
tow.
Why,
to
have
a
task
revolve
around
the
Trump
site
in
Vegas
that’s
why.
The production took all day and it showed the Apprentice wannabees talking
with
and
New
Frontier
owner
Phil
Ruffin
at
the
under
construction
Trump
International
project.
What is the actual meet of this online gambling news article you say?
Well,
the
show
aired
Sunday
night
and
Trump
International
sales
agents
began
taking
reservations
for
units
in
the
new
tower
this
morning.
Yes,
people
are
still
watching
the
show!
People
that
want
to
buy
too.
This is what we call a bit of inside help by providing some free airtime
advertising
for
the
Vegas
project
– or
is
it
all
hype
and
we
are
writing
this
online
gambling
article
as
well
as
giving
more
free
ad
help.
Whatever
the
case,
the
word
is
circulating
just
as
The
Donald
would
want.
Whatever – it’s not a bad way to announce the next phase we say. In the
episode,
interestingly
enough,
the
candidates
were
tasked
with
creating
a
promoting
a
program
for
the
2nd
phase
of
the
building
sites.
Christie
and
Ruffin,
who
gave
up 7
acres
in
the
back
of
the
38
acre
New
Frontier
site
for
the
Trump
International,
were
to
help
choose
the
winner
of
the
task
at
hand.
Ruffin, who when in on a joint venture deal with Trump on the first phase,
was
not
certain
a
second
condo-hotel
tower
was
a
good
idea.
That
was
until
he
was
proved
wrong
it
seems.
After
that,
it
didn't
take
much
additional
persuasion
to
partner
up
the
2nd
tower.
The episode marked the second time Trump has used "The Apprentice" to
promote
his
Las
Vegas
venture.
In
the
second
season
finale,
winner
Kelly
Perdew
was
offered
a
job
at
the
Trump
International,
but
instead
chose
a
position
in
Trump's
New
York
corporate
headquarters.
He said swelling construction costs have obviously increased the price of
the
2nd
tower
to
$625
million,
giving
the
project
a
total
value
of
more
than
$1.1
billion
according
to
his
numbers.
After all, when you think of high end real estate developing Trump’s name
has
to
be
in
the
mix
somehow.
Christie said the first phase of the two towers was fully held in reserve
by
the
time
Trump
International
(phase
1)
broke
ground
last
July.
Since
that
time,
reservations
have
been
converted
to
sales
contracts.
Now,
it
seems,
according
to
Trump
that
there
are
only
less
than
a
two
dozen
units
left
on
the
market.
Reservations on the second tower require a deposit of $10,000 each unit
which
is
not
tremendously
high,
but
the
overall
sales
prices
were
still
being
determined
due
to
shaky
real
estate
markets
in
The
Vegas
area.
Trump has stated that he expected to break ground on the second tower
sometime
in
2008
after
construction
finishes
on
the
first
tower.
He
said
the
project
is
even
about
4
months
ahead
of
schedule.
As with most Trump real estate dealings, we wonder what the success will
really
be
with
phase
two.
Is
it
hype
or
will
it
sell,
sell,
sell…
Many of our online gambling news readers may remember many of our articles
surrounding
his
casino
problems
in
Atlantic
City
and
his
backing
out
of
another
casino
project
in
Indiana.
He
has
apparently
bailed
his
casino
company
out
of
an
impending
bankruptcy.
Also,
you
may
have
heard
about
his
row
with
The
View’s
Rosie
O’Donnell
as
well
as
his
hair
raising
wrestling
bet
of
late.
He
did
win.
