Team
Up
to
Do
Some
Good
April
10,
2008
GamCare
and
eCOGRA
have
teamed
up
to
combat
online
gambling
addiction.
GamCare
is a
UK
based
gambling
charity
that
helps
those
that
have
developed
some
sort
of
addiction
to
online
gambling.
eCOGRA
is
the
e-Commerce
and
Online
Gambling
Regulation
and
Assurance
group
that
makes
sure
that
people
are
playing
safely.
Between
the
two
of
them,
they
hosted
a
two
day
training
course
that
brought
in
40
online
casino
managers.
They
tried
to
show
them
what
the
danger
signs
were
for
problem
gamblers,
as
well
as
how
to
identify
them
and
what
to
do
with
them
once
they
did.
They
had
people
come
from
around
the
world
to
find
these
things
out,
and
when
the
days
were
done
their
students
had
a
much
better
idea
of
what
they
were
looking
at.
The
course
covered
all
of
the
areas
of
responsible
gambling,
not
just
online
gambling.
They
ran
the
students
through
their
paces,
giving
them
case
studies
and
interactive
training
– so
it
was
great
experience
for
those
that
are
just
entering
the
world
of
online
gambling.
They
even
explained
what
the
eCOGRA
symbol
was
for
–
letting
their
students
know
about
their
guarantee
and
how
important
it
is
for
a
casino
to
have
that.
For
GamCare
it
was
really
about
getting
out
the
dangers
of
online
gambling
addiction
and
how
they
can
get
help
if
they
need
it.
They
even
showed
them
how
to
set
up
responsible
online
gambling
protocols
in
order
to
get
their
own
site
up
and
running.
