Both Sides Finally Agree on Something?

It seems that a miracle has happened! The Democrats and the Republicans have finally agreed on something! It would seem that members of both factions have agreed that the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, must be overturned.

GOP Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, Republican, and House Financial Services Panel Chairman Barney Frank, Democrat, have joined forces on the bill that would actually block the implementation of the anti online gambling law. They agree that the bill does not allow citizens the right to do what they wish with their money, and they want the bill overturned.

However, since they have not been doing great in having a complete reversal, it seems that they are coming at it from the idea that as long as people are willing to take responsibility for their actions, they should be able to participate in online gambling. They want to see it regulated and legalized.

They say that the law puts an undue burden on the banks and financial institutions as well as they are responsible for implementing the law. As both men are big supporters of internet freedom, this bill strikes a very strong chord with them. They think this law is �potentially disastrous� for the financial industry.
