Chartwell
Gets
Deal
April
14,
2008
Chartwell
Technology
has
signed
a
five
year
deal
with
Spielbanken
Niedersachsen
GmbH
(SNG).
Chartwell
is
an
online
gambling
software
developer
out
of
Calgary,
and
SNG
is
the
Lower
Saxony
state
licensed
and
regulated
casino
operator.
The
deal
is
for
an
online
gambling
system,
and
this
will
allow
on
of
the
German
states
to
have
online
casinos.
SNG
already
has
a
very
popular
B&M
based
business,
and
adding
online
gambling
to
their
repertoire
is
exactly
what
they
want.
The
agreement
would
last
for
five
years,
and
would
bring
in
both
casino
and
soft
games
–
which
they
could
then
pass
along
to
their
sister
companies
as
acceptable
through
German
law.
Their
first
online
gambling
site
is
expected
to
be
up
and
running
by
next
May.
They
are
owned
by
Casinos
Austria
International,
who
has
also
been
involved
in a
deal
with
Sweden's
Svenske
Spel
and
Boss
Media.
Spielbanken
Niedersachsen
has
been
providing
the
lottery
games
to
the
area
for
about
20
years,
and
last
year
they
won
more
than
Euro
94
million.
Both
companies
feel
that
this
is a
great
move
for
them.
Chartwell
says
that
the
pairing
of
them
with
SNG
fits
well
into
their
strategies
for
their
future
growth.
SNG
agreed
saying
that
this
will
be
Germany’s
first
online
gambling
casino,
and
they
must
make
sure
that
they
have
the
highest
level
of
security
and
they
feel
that
this
will
come
from
Chartwell.
