| GamblingPhD menu | Back and Better Than Ever April 28, 2009 Bodog could not be happier to be back, nor could their clients. The online gambling company was relegated to moving Bodog.com to BodogLife.com and lost many customers in the process. People either did not want to see the online gambling company move, and they had visceral reactions to it happening. However, the online gambling company kept plugging away and kept fighting to get their name back. Well it seems that they are finally going to get what they want. The online gambling company is going to be able to get exactly what they want in terms of their domain name back as their parent company Morris Mohawk has settled with the company responsible for making them move. Morris has agreed to the terms of the judgment that gives Bodog back their online gambling name, and settles their issues with the company First Technology LLC who claims patent infringement. The online gambling company had to pay up on a judgment that had been rendered against them, but the terms of exactly how much was paid and how it all finished out are to be kept confidential. Even Calvin Ayre, the man behind the online gambling site Bodog doesnt know the deal. He says that they want to keep it quiet as to where they ended up with all of it, and he respects that. He is just thrilled that they are going to be able to bring back their original site where it was, and that their players will be able to find them wherever they are. Back to April 09 Archive. |
