PPA Determined to Get Online Gambling

The Professional Poker Association, or PPA, is one of the world�s most well known and highest pressure groups out there that are fighting for the legalization of online gambling. They are interested in poker specifically in being legalized, but they believe that all online gambling should be licensed and regulated. Now they are going to go a step further and throw even more money at their attempt to legalize online gambling.

They have announced that they are committing themselves to a multimillion dollar campaign to see online gambling legalized. The PPA said that they had more than $3 million more to spend during this Congressional session to ensure the legalization of online gambling and online poker playing. They have already spent millions of dollars in lobbying for it, so to throw more money at it is just amazing.

Their members are responsible for raising the money that will be used in their online gambling campaign. They have all worked very hard to get the money and therefore the ability to fight the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA. The majority of their money however came from the Interactive Gaming Council.

Some say that the three million dollars is a lot to spend on the fight, but they have to increase the amount that they are spending because there are so many other forces working against them. Major sporting franchises like the National Football League are working hard to keep online gambling illegal, and they are also throwing millions at their cause.
