Alliance Gaming fires back over patent dispute

Shuffle Master Inc., who has
filed a formal complaint against Alliance Gaming Corp. for
patent infringement has drawn a vigorous reply from the
accused.
The actual complaint is against
Alliance's MindPlay business unit.
Alliance announced today that it
thinks the patent infringement complaint against them is
baseless, and completely without merit. The company firmly
thinks that the MP21 system does not infringe on any of
Shuffle Master's patents. Alliance Gaming has many patents
in its technological department that protects its products.
Consequently, just as it has in the past with Shuffle
Master, Alliance Gaming intends to defend itself against
this and any other merit less actions and complaints brought
against them.
Alliance Gaming is a diverse
gaming company that holds its headquarters in Las Vegas. The
company manufactures, designs, and involves itself with
operations and distribution of many advanced gaming systems
and devices all over the world. They also operate a gaming
machine route in Louisiana and they operate A casino in
Vicksburg, Miss. named Rainbow casino.
