The Indiana Gaming Commission is sticking
to its decision to name Trump's casino
company their number one choice to develop
the approved casino in French Lick, Indiana.
In a public letter issued by the
commission, they wanted to make clear their
support of Trump Hotel and Casino Resort
company.
The Indiana Gaming Commission Chairman
Donald Vowels signed the letter himself. The
letter also stated that the commission
already knew of a possible bankruptcy filing
before they even voted to approve the
proposed deal. The deal awarded that states
11th and final casino license to Trump last
month.
Some analysts say that the casino would
struggle to succeed with or with out the
bankruptcy. It is said by analysts that
there simply aren't enough gamblers in the
area to sustain the casino. This viewpoint
was quickly defended earlier this month when
casino developers reminded analysts that the
casino will provide much more than just
gambling. They are building a complete
resort, revamping two historical buildings
and providing such Trump passions as a top
notch golf course.
Local residents and business owners in
French Lick are very much in favor of the
new resort and casino and have publicly
expressed their support as well.
The Indiana Gaming Commission does not
feel in any way that the recent filing for
restructure on Trump's behalf will interfere
with the company's ability to stick to the
proposed new casino in Indiana.
Many speculate that the real issue is in
Atlantic City and only in Atlantic City.
