At the end of the day, online gambling news article readers are
reading
that
there
are
not
many
well-known
players
left
at
he
World
Series
of
Poker
(WSOP)
Main
Event.
The
2006
World
Series
of
Poker
has
whittled
down
to
less
than
30
players
and
we
are
left
wondering
what
happened
to
several
of
the
big
names
in
poker.
With
only
three
more
days
of
game
play,
online
casinos
fans
are
chomping
at
the
bit
looking
for
news
about
this
event.
Late tonight, we are learning that only 2 former WSOP gold bracelet
champs
are
still
among
the
twenty
seven
poker
players
left
in
the
event.
One
of
them
won
4
bracelets
before
he
even
turned
30
years
old.
That
would
be
Allen
Cunningham.
He
is
sitting
in
13th
place
and
has
stacks
of
chips
in
front
of
him
totaling
$2.65
million.
He
may
be
holding
nearly
$1
million
in
chip
less
than
average
players
are
at
this
time,
but
we
are
watching
this
guy
with
intensity.
Last year, he won the Player of the Year award at the same event.
He
won
a
bracelet
this
year
already
and
is
looking
for
another
Player
of
the
Year
award
at
least.
We
are
also
watching
a
newer
player
on
the
block
Jeff
Madsen
for
this
award
this
year.
The leader of the pack at this time is Jamie Gold. This skilled
player
has
a
massive
collection
of
$13
million
chips
to
his
name
right
now.
This
is a
poker
player
we
believe
will
be
seated
at
the
final
table.
Today was a WSOP day of elimination for several well known players.
Among
the
players
that
took
a
beating
to
get
knocked
out
of
the
event
today
were
Cong
Do
and
Humberto
Brenes.
Brenes
made
a
final
table
appearance
back
in
1988.
The
other
44
players
today
have
never
seen
a
final
table
at
this
event.
So
it
is
safe
to
say
that
the
big
names
are
not
what
we
will
see
this
year
at
the
final
table.
For
those
of
you
online
gambling
fans
who
are
not
familiar
with
Cong
Do,
he
is
mostly
regarded
as a
cash
player.
As
far
as
his
WSOP
experience
goes,
he
has
sat
at 2
final
tables
and
has
6
cashes
from
playing
in
WSOP
events.
The chip leader who looks very comfortable is moving forward with
his
incredible
chip
lead
by
eliminating
any
of
his
challengers
with
his
stacks
to
back
him.
At
the
start
of
today,
he
had
about
$7
million
in
chips.
Can
you
imagine
a
day
where
you
nearly
double
your
earnings
at
the
table?
He
almost
did
it.
Erik
Friberg
is
in 2nd
place
and
has
nearly
$7.74
million
to
his
name.
Some of the players that our online casino news readers may recognize
that
are
still
in
the
running
are
Jeffrey
Lisandro,
who
is
in 8th
place.
Prahlad
Friedman
is
in
16th
place.
Some
of
you
may
remember
him
from
winning
a
bracelet
at
the
2003
Pot-limit
Hold'em
event.
Jeffrey
Lisandro
has
6
WSOP
final
tables
under
his
belt,
so
he
knows
how
to
play
and
if
his
cards
hold
true,
we
may
very
well
see
him
at
the
final
table
of
this
event
this
year.
Other
than
that
Prahlad
Friedman
and
Allen
Cunningham
are
the
only
others
still
in
the
game
that
have
WSOP
bracelets.
This is not what many of us online gambling enthusiasts would have
imagined
to
be
happening
thus
far,
but
there
is
plenty
of
action
left
to
go.
Remember,
anyone
can
win
this
event
and
the
last
27
players
are
a
testament
to
this.
Tomorrow, the event will heat back up and game play will be under
way
at
noon in Vegas. As far as money goes, all of
the
players
remaining
are
guaranteed
at
least
$494,797.
This
is
some
serious
cash
folks.
The
following
ratings
have
the
estimated
2006

Event

them.

With
the
last
three
players
at
the

we
are
looking
at
them
to
win
no
less
than
$4
million.
The
3rd
place
player
in
this
year’s
event
will
win
$4.12
million
while
2nd

in
$6.1
million.
As
we
have
been
saying
–
this
year
is a
record
breaker
and
the
last
person
standing
gets
a
massive12
million
bucks!
We wish all the remaining poker players the best of luck and to our
online
gambling
fans
out
there
–
stay
tuned.
