AOL
Joining

Even
though
online
gambling
is
still
illegal
in
the
United
States,
that
doesn’t
stop
companies
from
getting
involved
in
it.
It
is
still
legal
in
many
parts
of
the
world,
and
online
gambling
is
so
lucrative
that
any
one
that
can
be a
part
of
it
should
be.
Online
casinos
bring
in
billions
each
year,
so
it
only
makes
sense
that
big
name
companies
would
be
trying
it
out.
AOL
is
the
latest
company
to
get
into
online
gambling,
and
even
though
it
is
illegal
here
that
does
not
stop
American
companies
from
opening
online
casinos
in
other
parts
of
the
world.
Online
gambling
itself
is
not
illegal,
but
processing
the
payments
to
online
casinos
is
for
banks,
etc.
AOL
has
signed
a
deal
with
FLUXX,
a
German
online
betting
company,
and
with
this
deal
they
will
be
marketing
sports
betting
online
in
the
UK.
They
have
already
gotten
hooked
up
with
JAXX
UK,
which
works
at
providing
lottery
services
to
the
Germans.
The
company
says
that
they
are
not
the
first
ones
to
get
into
online
gambling,
and
they
know
that
they
won’t
be
the
last.
They
say
that
they
are
simply
looking
for
ways
to
be
more
profitable
for
their
shareholders,
and
online
gambling
and
online
casinos
seems
a
pretty
good
way
to
go.
They
say
that
they
are
going
to
be
partnering
with
other
companies
as
well
to
get
them
a
bigger
presence
in
Europe,
and
they
think
that
they
will
be
able
to
make
AOL
UK
portal
“the
premier
online
destination
for
web
users
and
advertisers
alike,”
per
Michael
Steckler
of
AOL
Europe.
