Video slots
set for July 1
premiere
December 19
In Oregon, even
though
some
legislators were against
it, Oregon
Lottery officials
showed that July 1 would
be the scheduled
premiere for the
lottery's new video slot
machines.
The state's Lottery
Director Dale Penn
revealed in a meeting of
the state Lottery
Commission that they
want the plan to be well
thought process that
would be unveiled
successfully.
Penn's revelations came
during a meeting in
which the panel voted to
start executing the steps
needed to apply the Governor's
plan to
increase state-sponsored
gambling in order to
create a larger profit
margin for the
state of Oregon.
Peter Courtney, Senate
President mentioned that he'
has been contacted by
Senate Democrats who
believe that it is a
mistake to create more
profit
by adding video slot
games to vendors' video
poker outlets. He also
admitted that he wasn't
sure how many senators
were against it, but he
said that they do exist.
Next,
a
formal vote in order to
move ahead with slot
machines will take place
next month.
Friday, Lottery Commission
members made it
perfectly clear that
they plan to move
forward with the
development as swiftly as
they possibly can.
