Giuliani
Has
Online
Gambling
Ties
December
7,
2007
It
seems
that
Ron
Paul
isn’t
the
only
one
who
supports
online
gambling
– it
would
appear
that
Rudy
Giuliani
does
as
well.
The
GOP
presidential
candidate
has
been
partaking
of a
plane
that
is
provided
by
Sheldon
Adelson,
also
known
as
the
owner
of
the
Las
Vegas
Sands
and
the
3rd
richest
man
in
America.
In
fact,
Giuliani
has
ran
up
more
than
$122,000
in
campaign
contributions
from
the
jets
that
he
has
been
using
to
make
his
campaign
stops.
With
this
information,
and
the
fact
that
he
has
not
come
out
in
support
of
online
gambling
before
now,
one
can
only
wonder
what
his
exact
position
on
the
matter
is.
It
would
seem
that
he
is
pro
online
gambling
considering
his
ties,
and
this
pretty
much
goes
against
everything
the
Republican
Party
has
been
spouting.
Their
united
front
against
online
gambling
and
for
the
UIGEA,
would
tell
you
that
taking
plane
rides
from
a
casino
magnate
such
as
Adelson
might
not
be
the
best
move.
With
this
information,
the
other
Republican
candidates
are
assuredly
going
to
start
asking
questions,
wondering
where
his
loyalties
lie.
Considering
the
fact
that
the
Sands
has
already
said
that
they
are
planning
an
online
casino
–
this
would
seem
to
reflect
a
push
for
online
gambling
to
be
legalized
if
Giuliani
were
to
win
the
White
House.
At
this
point
in
time,
Giuliani
was
considered
to
be
the
front
runner
for
the
party.
Experts
wonder
what
sort
of
effect
this
latest
bombshell
might
have
on
voters
– as
many
of
them
are
against
online
gambling
as
well.
Bodog
Sports
had
him
picked
as
their
front
runner;
it
would
seem
that
he
might
be
among
those
in
favor
of
online
gambling.
