Are the Laws Changing?

There is some talk that those that are opposed to online gambling might be seeing the end of that more sooner than later. With so many of the politicians that supported keeping online gambling illegal on their way out, and so many that want to see it legal on their way in, it is easy to see that the times are a changin.�

For their part, the online gambling industry cannot wait for the changing of the guard. They know that they should never have been made illegal in the first place and now they are going to have to put their focus on legalization and regulation which they are all too ready to do. With Barack Obama coming into office as well, many see their chance to get online gambling legalized again.

Rep. Barney Frank has been diligently working all this time to get online gambling legalized. For many he is the face and the hero of online gambling. He has been working to get the Safe Port Act rectified, and to regulate an industry that has continued to go on, but now not as safely as first.

With the Bush Administration pushing through laws regarding online gambling that should have been passed two years ago, they have shown their contempt for the American people and their wants and desires. This latest passing will make it all that much harder for the new Congress to overturn the act, but they ensure us that they will do so.
