Free Online Gambling Dangerous

There are many out there that think that as long as their kid is playing for free on an online gambling site that there really is no danger for them. They say that they can�t lose any money doing it, so where does the harm lay? Unfortunately it sets them up for a lifetime of online gambling and land based gambling addictions.

Gambling for free on the internet has become very popular as of late with many teens, and their parents don�t really worry about it. However, they should be worried. Teens that participate in free online gambling have a much higher rate of online gambling addiction later in life than those that do not participate.

The problem is that teens get on and they play for free and they see themselves winning and they think real life is like that. However, when they are older they can now play for real money and they start losing. Not only are the odds different in free play as compared to real money online gambling, but they are so used to not losing when they �lose� that they don�t realize how much they have lost financially until quite often it is too late.

And it doesn�t really stop there either as those who participate in online gambling are then set up to participate in other types of gambling where money is wagered. You find them betting on things at school and taking money bets for them, as they don�t need an adult�s permission to do so. They find that free online gambling is fun and there is no risk involved. It isn�t until they get way over their heads with the real money that they realize that it isn�t risk free after all.
