Report Not What Expected

There are many unhappy people in the online gambling world today, as a recent report did not list what they thought it would. Many thought that the report that listed the Swedish recommendations for online gambling would show that they wanted online gambling legalized. However, this was not really the case.

The report shows that they think that online gambling should stay as it is and that sports betting only should be liberalized. The Scandinavian and other European online gambling companies were shocked as they spent a lot of time providing the commission with ways that they could set up the online gambling market. The hope was that the Svenska Spel would release their monopoly and make it easier for other online gambling companies to compete, but this did not happen.

Those that provided information to them about how to liberalize the online gambling market were upset because they felt that they had been taken advantage of and that their time had been wasted. They said that they were under the impression that they would be breaking down the barrier between the private operators and the Svenska Spel.

Instead, it keeps them all exactly where they were before, only gives them even less. The Svenska Spel will now have the opportunity to offer all of the interactive gaming products except for sports betting. They say that all they are doing is continuing to support private finances for the government. They are also talking about restrictions for the private operators, as if there were anything more they could do.
