Students Participating in Online Gambling

College campuses are rife with those participating in online gambling. Many do it for fun, but many others do it because they need to earn more money to pay for tuition or incidentals. Those that are good at it can find themselves making a nice sum of money to help balance out the money that they are short � however, many others find that they are just as likely to find themselves having problems because now they are out of money they spent on online gambling.

There are many students that don�t realize that they are breaking the law by participating in online gambling. For some it is not just about the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, rather some campuses have made online gambling illegal and those that do it risk being expelled.

But for those that are fairly good at it, they find themselves being able to use online gambling as a way of making some good money and supplementing their income. But for those that are bad at it, they are now in a worse position than they were before they gambled.

There is also the issue of the growing incidence of online gambling addiction. Too many students are finding themselves becoming addicted to online gambling and missing classes, or spending all of their money on it. College campuses are reporting a growing concern regarding the number of students who seem to be finding themselves addicted to the online gambling, and unable to stop.
