Weird News

December 12, 2008

Ok, this is just weird. There is no other way to explain it except that it is weird. For some reason there is a report on Bratz dolls on an online gambling site, and many of their players just cant figure out why. The report comes from the online casino Bodog which many figure is just fine because of their reputation for being a little eccentric. However, Bratz dolls?

There is a posting on the dolls on the online gambling site Bodog, on their Bodog Beat. It talks about the dolls which are soon to be extinct as they are illegal. Mattel won the case against the woman who developed them while working for the company and now they can no longer sell or make the dolls which is fine, but what does it have to do with online gambling?

Some say that it is inappropriate to be on there as the online gambling site is supposed to be child free. Why then have an article that only a minor would appreciate? Some felt that the site was trying to lure in a younger audience, but with the checks and balances in play for minors so that they cant get on the online gambling site, why would that even be an issue?

The posting is on Bodog Beat which is the blog associated with the online casino, and the blog encourages people to join the online gambling site. With the online gambling industry working so hard to keep minors from participating, it doesnt make a lot of sense why they would have an article that would encourage them to try it.
