Harrah’s Has Big Online Gambling Launch

There are mixed feelings in the online gambling world about the launch of the new online casino from Harrah’s Entertainment. There are those that welcome it as they say that it will help them in their quest to get online gambling legalized, and there are those that don’t as they say it will not only draw business from their existing casinos because of the name, but they also complain that they are not even offering it to those residents of the United States.
The online gambling site will not be allowing US residents to play, and if they go to the site they will be redirected to a page that tells them of their land based businesses, with the focus on their Las Vegas Properties. The online gambling site can’t offer their services to the residents of the US because of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA. One can be sure that as soon as that is overturned that they will be looking to change their status, but to do so in the interim would truly jeopardize their land based holdings.
The new online gambling site – Caesars Casino Online, is bound to be a lot of fun, and will be backed by the same customer support and reputation that Harrah’s has to offer. There are those within the online gambling industry that say that they are taking the chance of offering to US players and that Harrah’s should too because it would really send a message then. But it is doubtful that many of these online gambling critics have as much to lose as Harrah’s does should they break the law.
The online gambling site will be legal before you know it, but in the interim there are many other great online gambling sites out there that are offering games for you to play if you choose to before it is legal.
