Online Casinos Facing Threat

The online gambling center of Curacao is facing a very real threat these days, and it comes at the hands of Venezuela. The small country is known for their online gambling and it is truly one of the centers of the online gambling world. The Netherlands Antilles Island is also home to one of the largest sports betting companies out there today – Pinnacle Sports. They have several online gambling operations including numerous sports books and online casinos.
However, now the little country is facing a very real threat from Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez. Chavez is maintaining that there is an aggression plot against Venezuela and as the island is right off of their coast it is a very dire situation.
Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen has asked the Venezuelan Ambassador to come to them to explain statements that Chavez made at the Copenhagen summit. It seems that he was complaining that the United States and the Netherlands were working together to plot against Venezuela. He said that they were allowing military access to the Dutch Antilles and that they were watching Venezuela and considering attacking it.
Chavez has now ordered any unmanned drones that enter their airspace to be shot down. He also said that as the little online gambling island of Curacao is part of his nation’s air space and therefore anything that flew over it would be shot down as well. As the online gambling country is not part of his realm it could get ugly down there for them – especially since the only one fighting this war is Chavez.
