eCOGRA Forms Responsible Gambling AllianceFebruary 10
eCOGRA, a Player protection and online casino regulator, has joined the Global Gambling Guidance Group to offer more consistent and formal protection against underage and problem gambling.
eCOGRA will work with Global Gambling to form a group of policies and procedures that will set the global guidelines for responsible gaming. eCOGRA Seal casino and poker operators will be required to apply these detailed guidelines as part of the Generally Accepted Practices (eGAP), and conformity will be analyzed on a regular basis by different independent auditors.
Global Gambling management has much experience with responsible gaming programs in both the land-based and online fields.
eCOGRA will offer brand recognition and allow Global Gambling to play a role in their sites. It is the first step in getting their members to join. They also held talks with other groups, such as the Interactive Gaming Council and large online poker networks.
