Microgaming
Pulls
Out
of
Unaccredited
Casino
February
28,
2008
The
Australian
based
Tusk
Investment
Corporation
Limited’s
recent
announcement
of
pending
liquidation
has
caused
Microgaming
to
pull
out
of
the
company.
They
have
chosen
to
terminate
their
license
with
the
online
gambling
company.
Once
the
announcement
was
made
of
the
impending
liquidation,
Microgaming
released
a
statement
of
their
own
where
they
said
that
they
are
terminating
their
software
license
with
the
company
“with
immediate
effect.”
They
went
on
to
say
that
they
are
“gathering
all
facts
related
to
this
matter
and
will
provide
further
announcements
as
and
when
information
becomes
available."
All
of
this
comes
quick
on
the
heels
of
the
announcement
by
eCOGRA
regarding
the
accreditation
of
the
online
casino.
The
independent
player
protection
company
for
the
online
gambling
industry
had
pulled
their
“Safe
and
Fair”
accreditation
from
the
company
after
they
supposedly
failed
their
routine
review.
Many
times
when
this
happens,
Microgaming
will
set
up a
Player’s
Trust
Arrangement,
where
they
make
sure
that
anyone
that
has
money
in
their
account
that
they
have
not
used
gets
refunded
back
to
them.
As
this
is
fairly
standard
practice
for
Microgaming,
many
are
assuming
that
they
will
do
it
again.
Tusk
ran
some
of
the
biggest
online
casinos
out
there.
They
had
Big
Casino,
Golden
Reef
Casino,
Euro
Poker
Dream,
Grand
Central
Poker,
Hot
Pepper
Poker,
Poker
Sweden
and
UK
Casino
Club.
