| GamblingPhD menu | Online Gambling Looking Good February 27, 2009 The fact of the matter is that people want online gambling. When polled, the majority of those asked said that they wanted to see the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, overturned and they wanted online gambling to be legalized. There are those of course that are still fighting it, but the tides are turning and it is just a matter of time before that dream becomes a reality. Online gambling does not add to increased gambling addiction even though many would like to think that it does, and it does not jeopardize your personal information if you go to the right site. In fact, if regulated, online gambling would not only be a great way for the country to make more money, but it would also make it safer for all of those citizens that are still playing in spite of the UIGEA. But now that it looks like the online gambling industry may be getting a boost, their stocks are beginning to rise as well. The stock market has not been the most reliable place to do business as of late, but when looking at the online gambling industry things are about to get a lot better. Many people are starting to invest in online gambling companies now because they know that the tide is going to change, and they know that whatever they purchase their stocks for now, they are going to be worth more in a year or so at the latest. They are about to become the most profitable stocks out there on the market. Back to February 09 Archive. |
