| GamblingPhD menu | Loopholes Used for Good Not Evil February 15, 2009 Online gambling never had it so well someone offering to pay for you to gamble? Thats right pay you, not the other way around. CentSports.com has found a way to make online gambling legal, and sports gambling at that. When you sign up for their site you get an automatic $0.10 in your account that you can use to bet on sporting events. Seems too good to be true? Its not; they give you money because this means that you are not depositing any into an account with the site. Once you deposit money it makes it an online gambling site. This is the loophole. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, states that the depositing is what makes the online gambling site illegal so if they dont let you deposit, then you are legal. Another coo for the site is that even if online gambling is legalized, sports betting still probably wont be. It is actually one of the few things that everyone in the online gambling industry agrees on that sports betting should be illegal. However, this site has found a way to make it profitable and legal. The online gambling site makes its money off of their advertisers, which means they dont have to charge their clients. Oh, and if you are a winner, once you hit the $20 mark you can take your money out as they will send you a check. This makes them officially the coolest sports betting site around!
