American Idol and
Online Gambling

Depending on what you like
to watch on television, there are probably a host of things you can bet
on. There are online gambling sites that will offer you everything from
whether Derek and Meredith will get married for real to whether someone
will find out whether Chance from Human Target’s name will ever be found
out, and literally everything in between. But obviously the more popular
a show is, the more intense the betting gets. American Idol is a perfect
example of that.
Each week the online gambling sites offer bets as to who will end up on
top at the end. They also offer wagers on things like who will be the
bottom three, who will be the bottom two, who will get the best
compliment from Simon and of course who will get the worst. The online
gambling sites allow people to bet on who will be eliminated and who
will outshine the rest for one week only. It is truly an intense
competition to see who will win, and the online gambling community knows
this.
Right now Andrew Garcia is the favorite to win. Unless he does something
really terrible in a performance, most people think that he stands a
really good chance at taking the title. Coming in second place in the
odds are Didi Benami and Ashely Rodriguez. Both are considered to be
really excellent singers and so far have done very well for themselves.
Either one of them could easily take the top spot from Andrew and take
home the win themselves. Rounding out the bottom three – odds wise – you
have Michelle Delamor, John Park and Jose Munoz. None of the three are
expected to win, and are in fact expected to be eliminated rather
shortly.
The online gambling community loves a good bet – and American Idol is
that for them. They offer competition and truly a case where it can be
anybody’s game. There has been more than one time where one singer was
expected to win only for fans to see them eliminated.
