The Alabama Anti Gambling
Task Force Seems to be everywhere these days. The state has really put
down the hammer on slot machines within the state. The state has decided
that now that they have the approval of their Supreme Court that they
are going to move forward in their attempts to eradicate all slot
machines from the state and have even gone so far as to follow a
shipment of them to the state line to make sure that they didn’t stay in
their borders.
But now some say that they are going too far. They have really cracked
down on the Country Crossing Casino and told them that they had to
eliminate the slot machines that they were offering. The problem is that
the casino had to close its doors because of the task force and that
means that there are a lot of people out of work. The casino has cut
somewhere between 500 and a thousand jobs, and that those employees that
still had a paycheck to pick up were out of luck.
There are those that say that they shouldn’t worry too much though as
legislators are looking at ways of legalizing slot machines within the
state. Not only that, but they are also looking to make online gambling
legal within their borders. The legislature sees that there is a desire
among their citizens to see slot machine and online gambling, which will
go a long way to swaying their votes.
The Supreme Court has to decide once and for all if these games are
going to be legalized, and in doing so, many want them also to discuss
the idea of online gambling legalization. They say that between the
online gambling and the slot machines that they could see millions if
not billions coming into the state.
