Ladbrokes Looking to
Make a Decision
February

The online gambling company
Ladbrokes has lost their Chief Executive Officer, Chris Bell. Bell has
resigned his position and is leaving in June, leaving the online
gambling company to wonder who should take his place. There are some
very qualified candidates who are experienced in the online gambling
industry, and it is just a matter of time before they choose his
successor.
The online gambling company says that they have a short list of people
that they are looking at to offer the position to, but they want to be
absolutely sure that they are a good fit with their online gambling
group. They have confirmed that Carl Leaver, former head of Marks and
Spencer’s International Division has made the short list, which
surprised many within the online gambling industry.
It is fairly well known that City investors had been considering Leaver
for Alan Parker’s position over at Whibread as Parker is planning on
leaving this summer. The online gambling company has decided to bring in
JCA to help them find someone and to help them make a decision as to who
might be right for their company. They said that Leaver’s name is on the
list because he is qualified in both online gambling and retail – which
makes him that much more valuable.
There are other names on the list as well, like Andy McIver who is the
head of Sportingbet and Andy Harrison who is leaving easyJet. There is
also the idea that John O’Reilly might make a good choice as he is
already familiar with the company having been their online gambling
gaming lead.
