| GamblingPhD menu | Competitive Online Gambling January 15, 2009 Online gambling is already considered to be a very competitive industry. With so many online gambling sites coming out every day, and so many of them failing, it is up to the sites that are out there to put their best foot forward from day one. It is imperative that they set themselves apart from the rest of the sites, while letting their clients know that there is nothing more important to them than their players happiness. Well, if they thought it was competitive before, it is about to get even worse. Google AdWords has announced that they are going to let affiliates start bidding on search terms along with the online gambling sites themselves. They have let the online gambling sites bid on the search terms since November of last year, so now they are opening it up to the affiliates as well. However, where the online gambling sites can bid on competitors names, like PartyPoker, affiliates will not be allowed to do so. That is really the biggest difference between the two. But they are also aware that because they are now letting the online gambling affiliates bid that the pricing for those ad words are going to get to be much higher than they have been. With the passage of the UIGEA still in effect however, those online gambling sites located in the USA are not permitted to bid on the search terms. This offer is for the UK based online gambling sites only. They are currently advising them as to how is the best way to go about bidding on the sites so that they can be more successful. i |
