Caesars buys 7 acres near Vegas Strip
July 29
Caesars Entertainment Inc.
bought a section of land behind their Bally's property that
is about 7 acres in size. This property was purchased with
future development in mind.
The sale was said to have
cost Caesars $35 million. This sale was recorded the day
before Harrah's Entertainment Inc. announced their
intentions of buying Caesars for approximately 9.4 billion,
to create the world's largest casino company.
It is not said what the
company plans to do with or how they plan to develop the
land. Some speculate that it might have been purchased to
accommodate a baseball stadium to entice the Montreal Expos,
who are looking for a new home.
