Hachem wins 2005 World Series of Poker

After 14 long hours of poker playing in the final round of the 2005 WSOP, online gambling fans all over finally found out who would win the WSOP this year.

Joseph Hachem, the former Aussie chiropractor, won the $7.5 million dollar grand prize at this year's event in Vegas. Shortly before 6:50 AM, and after 232 dramatic hands of poker -  we had a winner. This year's poker event drew the highest pay-outs and more online gambling poker players than ever before.

Friday afternnon, the final 9 players sat down to play the very last round. With many poker pros making early exits in the WSOP, many online gambling fans though they would see a player from online win. This wasn't a far fetched thought either, considering so many players at this year's evnt were online players. Nonetheless, Hachem, doctor turned pro, came out on top.

This year we even saw women doing very well. Lawyer, Tiffany Williamson even played until Wednesday. With women coming out to play in larger numbers than ever, next year could be the year that a woman finally wins the event that has been dominated by male players to this day.

Here are the final results from the last 9 poker players that were seated at the final table:

9. Mike AKA The Mouth Matusow won the minimum $1 million and left the table first.

8. Brad Kondracki won $1.15 million leaving the table next.

7. Daniel Bergsdorf won $1.3 million.

6. Scott Lazar won $.5 million coming in 6th.

5. Andrew Black won a respectable $1.75 million.

4. Clearing the $2 million mark - Aaron Kanter won $2,000,000.

3. John AKA Tex Barch won a cool $2.5 million.

2. The last player to leave the table before Hachem was Steven Dannenmann, who won $4.5 million.

1. Joseph Hachem won 1st place an earned a staggering  $7.5 million.
