July 18
After 14
long hours of poker
playing in the final
round of the 2005
WSOP, online
gambling fans all
over finally found
out who would win
the WSOP this year.
Joseph Hachem,
the former Aussie
chiropractor, won
the $7.5 million
dollar grand prize
at this year's event
in Vegas. Shortly
before 6:50 AM, and
after 232 dramatic
hands of poker -
we had a winner.
This year's poker
event drew the
highest pay-outs and
more online gambling
poker players than
ever before.
Friday afternnon,
the final 9 players
sat down to play the
very last round.
With many poker pros
making early exits
in the WSOP, many
online gambling fans
though they would
see a player from
online win. This
wasn't a far fetched
thought either,
considering so many
players at this
year's evnt were
online players.
Nonetheless, Hachem,
doctor turned pro,
came out on top.
This year we even
saw women doing very
well. Lawyer,
Tiffany Williamson
even played until
Wednesday. With
women coming out to
play in larger
numbers than ever,
next year could be
the year that a
woman finally wins
the event that has
been dominated by
male players to this
day.
