Online gambling more popular than Chinese lottery

In China, it is being reported that online casino gambling has become more popular than playing the well known Chinese lottery. This is considered major news in the online casino industry as we all know Asia is an area of the world that has many gamblers. Until recently, lotteries were considered to be more popular than online gambling in China.

One newspaper in Shanghai has just reported that China�s lottery sales surmounted to nearly 70 billion yen in the past year. The director of the China Center for Lottery Studies at Peking University said the number was very accurate at 70 billion yen.

The China center for Lottery Studies created a lottery market survey. In the assessment it is said that alternative wagering revenue, such as online gambling, has increased by as much as ten times the amount reported the year before. While it is not considered easy to determine the exact numbers for online casino activity, the numbers are said to be pretty close. We think it is probably higher considering that many Internet or online casino game players wish to remain unknown.

 In fact comparison figures are not even really concrete as the ability to gauge online casino betting in China is not very easy to do. But, based on what some of the industry casino traffic may show, the numbers are much higher than ever before.

For the past few years gambling funds have been on the incline year after year making record revenues each time.
