France Allows Online Gambling

France has finally come the way of the online gambling industry and will allow controlled and regulated access to their market by online casino operators. They have come up with a list of standards that they expect people to abide by and that they hope will assuage some of the concerns that those against online gambling might be feeling.

They are also creating an agency that will monitor and license applications for legal online gambling. These sites will be checked and regulated so that they are in compliance with the wishes and the by laws of online gambling.

All servers must be accessible to the agency so that they can audit and monitor them for fraud and cheating � something the online gambling sites say they have no problem doing. They have come up with a list of things that they think will help keep out crime as online gambling slowly seeps into their country.

No online casino that has been around for less than seven years will be permitted to have a license, and full disclosure and transparency will be required of all of those that do apply. All investors, shareholders, and employees will have to pass background checks to ensure that only those with a clean record are working there.

All players must jump through legal hoops as well if they want to play. They have to have legal identification as well as a French bank account for playing at the online casinos. Sharing of information with the government is required, so that they can ensure that no insider trading or wagering is going on in sports bookings.

They are also setting up a system to keep out those that have a problem, or are in the course of developing one. They want to ensure that if anyone is participating in online gambling that it is on the up and up.
