What Recession?

If you ask anyone in the online gambling industry about the recession, that is pretty much the answer that you are going to get. The online gambling industry has not felt the pinch that other industries have probably because they bring their services to their clients instead of the other way around. When people were thinking twice about spending money on airfare and hotels to go to Atlantic City, New Jersey, or Las Vegas, Nevada – they were not spending that much time at all thinking about doing a little gambling in their living room.
 
That is the beauty of online gambling. It is so close you can literally reach out and touch it – unless of course you don’t have internet or a computer – but even then there are places you can go to for that. The online gambling industry has seen their profits pretty consistently increase while every one else has seen theirs decrease.
 
Party Gaming announced the other day that they were having a much larger increase in their revenues than they originally thought they were, and almost immediately their stock shot up. That is because people in this economy are looking for a sure thing to put their money on and the online gambling industry is that sure thing.
 
Over and over again you hear the various online gambling sites talk about the various records that they are breaking and the increases in their revenues. There have been very few months that they were not doing top line business, and those months rebounded very quickly. There is a reason investment managers are telling their clients to put their money in online gambling – right now it is the only sure thing.
