Online Gambling for the Younger Generation

Young people today don’t realize what life used to be like. If you wanted money on a weekend, you took it out of the bank on Friday when you deposited your paycheck – there were no ATMs or bank cards around. You wanted to type a letter – you did it with a typewriter and if you made a mistake you either started over or you used one of those crazy pencils with the wiry brush at the end – and heaven help you if you took it out of the machine before noticing that it was wrong! There were no personal computers to simply run a spell check on it and then reprint it if there was a problem.
 
No, this is a generation that is used to getting what they want almost instantaneously. They want money, go to the ATM; they want a movie – pop in a DVD; and if they want to talk to someone go to Facebook or IM someone. This is how it is for this generation. So when you take something like online gambling away from them – instant gambling in their living room – you are going to have a lot of upset people as well as much confusion as they try and figure out what they are supposed to do now.
 
But this is the kind of confusion that some online gambling sites are betting on. They think that it is only a matter of time before the Federal Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act is overturned, because after all they have never been denied anything of this magnitude. There are actually online gambling sites out there that are taking bets on how long it takes this generation to rise up and reclaim online gambling for themselves instead of waiting for their government officials to come around.
 
Online gambling is simply a matter of going to your living room, office, or bedroom and clicking the mouse. They know that there are types of online gambling that are permitted and they want to know why casino gambling isn’t one of them – and they are getting louder in their desire to know.
