Company wants to host riverboat games from satelliteJune 1
Ever since online gambling or casino gambling online has exploded into the mainstream, land casino companies are looking to develop new ways to compete with the convenience of online gambling.
Today, Kenilworth Systems Corp., announced that it has developed a way to provide gambling by using a satellite. The company from New York wants Indiana's riverboats to showcase the new technology. Some of the games that are available through satellite are baccarat and roulette among others. The idea is to have these games hosted buy the riverboats and broadcast to even more locations.
The new gaming system is being called Roulabette. The gaming system is likeable to simulcasts used in horse racing. Meaning, the game would be played-out from a riverboat and a signal would be sent to various off-riverboat betting facilities.
Though the gaming system has been developed, the actual deal planning with the state is in the very beginning stages.
In the past, KSC defeated a long battle with bankruptcy which included a conviction of its chairman. Now, the company will undergo financial scrutiny similar to the investigations a company receives when obtaining a casino license.
In the state of Indiana, new laws were put into place late last year to ensure all forms of alternative gambling would be investigated fully.
Now, it is believed that KSC will be looked at closely to determine if the company is operating soundly, then a decisions as to whether the new gaming system would be put into place.
KSC believes a price tag of $10 million will be attached to the system to get it up and running. This is an amount that state filing show the company does not have.
