Golden Palace buys yet another interesting item

June 5, 2006

Online casinos players have all heard or read about the interesting purchases made by one of the most well known online casinos in the world. No matter what type of online casino game player you are, you have played at, or at least heard of GoldenPalace.com before. Some of you are familiar with the online casino promos, but most all of you are in the know about this online casino’s famous and notorious purchases of the weird.

This past weekend, many of you saw the picture of the duck x-ray that was circulating around the Internet. In the x-ray, the duck had the most peculiar object (or resemblance of something peculiar) in its stomach area. Well, it looked like an alien. If you didn’t see it, it was uncanny.

Many people who saw the photo of the x-ray couldn’t believe what they were seeing. What could something like this be worth to a collector of oddities? As far as the online casino is concerned it was worth the $9,600 it paid for it – and more. Think of all the priceless advertisement the online casinos giant will get from this purchase. $9,600 is a cheap price to pay for this online casino’s latest attention grabbling eBay purchase. Oh yeah, and the online casino gets a cool x-ray to add to it growing museum of oddities that will be making its way around the US, perhaps to a city near you. Ah, the sweet smell of awesome advertising ploys.

This online casino is no stranger to free advertisements. It has purchased some of the most interesting items the world has to offer at eBay. These items include advertising space on a woman’s actual forehead via a tattoo, just about anything resembling the Virgin Mary, and the list goes on (and on).

Sunday, the International Bird Rescue Research Center sold the image it was responsible for taking of a sick duck in need of some medical help. Most likely an odd collection of grain the duck ate, the photo just looked so much like the typical likenesses we all associate will aliens.

The best part of the online casinos news is that the money that the online casino paid to the research enter will all be going to a good cause (instead of an ad company). The money will go towards helping the 35 year old nonprofit organization that works diligently with the public for adoption of  birds that are released back into the wild after there care is completed.
