Betsson Sued

Bettson has long had a name for themselves as a very popular online gambling company. The company has worked very hard to obtain and maintain a positive image in the online gambling world, and knows that they will continue to do all in their power to ensure that this happens.

However, it seems that they are being sued for advertising their online gambling services in the Icelandic media. As online gambling is illegal in Iceland, it would be truly illegal to advertise there � if they had done so.

However, the company maintains that there must be some kind of mistake. They have hired a lawyer in Iceland, one Sigurdur G. Gudj�nsson who says that the lawsuit is absurd and �smacks of prescriptivism.�

The Malta based online gambling group is accused, but so far there does not seem to be any proof. Gudj�nsson says that the pleadings are absurd in that the Icelandic authorities cannot even find anyone to question in relation to the case that they are bringing against the online gambling company.

Gudj�nsson says that they have even asked him to come in for questioning, but as he is their lawyer he cannot testify against them. He says that the only person that they might be able to bring charges against would be Th�rmundur Bergsson at MediaCom. They are responsible for placing advertisements, but that is all.
