| GamblingPhD menu | Online Gambling Websites Looking for Money June 8, 2009 There are several online gambling sites that are missing literally millions of dollars. A Canadian based payment processor by the name of Smart Banking Systems, or SBS seems to have taken several online gambling sites for a lot of money, and it seems purposeful in its intent. The online gambling systems hail out of Costa Rica and they all used the payment processing system from SBS that was run by Ben Waldman. More than a dozen online gambling sites have been taken by Waldman for millions of dollars. According to the online gambling operators Waldman set them up by providing a platform to the various operators and then disappeared. The payment processing system calls itself Tomorrows ATM and Credit Card Processing Technology Today. They said that they were an independent processing system for the online gambling sites, and that they could process both ATM transactions as well as credit card sales. Many of the online gambling sites have lost money in the thousands to the hundreds of thousands, with some losing more. Other online gambling operators say that Waldman also does business under another alias Chris Connor. They say that neither name is to be trusted, nor is the Smart Banking Systems name. They say that they have no doubt that Waldman is planning on taking his scheme elsewhere to bilk other online gambling operators out of money, and want consumers and sites both to realize what kind of person they are dealing with. They say that the authorities have been notified and they hope to catch him at some point. |
