Online Gambling and Hockey

The Olympics do wonders for the world of online gambling. There are so many things to choose from to gamble on, and so many options within that realm for them to choose from, that it is literally a huge boon for their industry. Because of this, online gambling patrons know that they can go to almost any site and find their favorite sport and place a bet on how well they think they are going to do. Each year at the Olympics it is always a question of which sport will come out to be the most popular. This year – it was hockey.

The battle to see who would take home Olympic Gold for their hockey team was a fierce one this year. Many online gambling sites offered the best odds to Canada as they did invent the sport and they are always a very good and strong team. However, once the games got underway they were quickly viewed as a less than desirable option as they were not doing as well. The online gambling sites started offering better odds on Finland and Sweden and even the United States to take home the gold – especially after the US beat Canada in their match up.

But next thing you know, Canada rallied and online gambling sites went crazy! They didn’t know who to root for as the US and Canadian teams systematically eliminated all of the other contenders. Going into the final game it was split 50-50 as to who was going to take the gold. The game ended up in overtime with Canada winning 3-2.

It was the online gambling ride of a lifetime, and fans and players alike said that this was one of the best games they had seen since the United States beat Russia back in 1986. The rivalry was incredible, although when the game was over both teams admitted that it was some stiff competition out there on the ice.
