Tiger Woods Says No Thank You

March
14, 2010

It would appear that although he is in the dog house, Tiger Woods is not yet willing to admit it. He has had several of his sponsors drop him due to the nature of his extra marital affairs – and has lost a significant amount of his revenue. When it came to light that Woods was having these affairs many people shied away from the former golden boy as they thought that his image no longer matched their product. Gatorade and Gillette are among those companies that decided not to have him as a spokesperson anymore, and because of this he will lose millions of dollars in revenues.

However, the online gambling industry wants Woods to know that he has a home with them. The online gambling site Paddy Power has offered him a $75 million, five year contract deal to be the spokesperson for their product. However, Woods has declined. It would appear that he is not worried enough to take the deal through the online gambling company. The online gambling company is based out of Ireland, and has a rather large following, but it would appear that Woods is just not interested.

One cannot wonder why he would turn down the deal. Could it be that he does not support online gambling? Or is it the site itself? Woods is known to be a supporter of President Obama, and Paddy Power was offering odds on how long he would be in office before he was assassinated – which is classless and off putting even if you aren’t a fan of the man. This could easily be the reason, but we won’t know as Woods is keeping mum about his decision.

The online gambling site says that they are not giving up though and that they are bound and determined to get him on board. They think that by making him a better offer he might say yes – it would appear that we will have to wait and see.
