Online Gambling and American Idol

It is amazing what people will actually wager real money on. They will bet on horse racing, sports, slots, and yes, television shows. The online gambling firm BetCRIS is posting odds on who will win the latest installment of American Idol, and it looks as if David Cook is the favorite to win.

It really has come down to whether you want to see the bartender or the high school student win, and according to the online gambling site, it is a big question indeed � one that many are betting a lot of money on. They say that they haven�t seen this kind of online gambling since Reuben and Clay went at it.

Their site has been inundated with people betting on who they think is going to take it, and it is interesting because most people would probably laugh when they think about online gambling and American Idol together. What started out as simply a high tech Star Search has come into an altogether different realm.

The online gambling site is listing David Archuleta as the underdog � with a 32% chance of winning or 43/20 odds. David Cook has a 74% chance of winning, with 20/57 odds.

The online gambling site says that the show �is more than just a pop culture phenomenon.� They say that with more people watching it every day, and more adults betting on it every day it will simply continue to grow from here.
