Online Gambling that is Legal

Supposedly online gambling is illegal. But it�s not. Now I am not referring to the fact that online gambling is not illegal but the processing of payments is kind of junk that gets spewed everywhere, I am talking about the fact that online gambling is legal.

It may not be in the form of slot machines and bingo or even blackjack, but online gambling is legal if you know where and how to play. Just turn on the television and watch CNBC where they talk about how the current market prices for Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama keep fluctuating on Intrade.com.

Isn�t that online gambling? For if people are going online and betting on these props then online gambling is legal. And it isn�t only this site � there are other online gambling sites that offer the ability to place wagers on who will win, or buying stocks, etc. � all of which are online gambling in the truest sense of the word.

There is another group called Iowa Electronic Markets, or IEM. It is just like Intrade.com and it allows online gambling. Not only that, but they have gotten letters from the US government letting them know that they were in no danger of getting into trouble so they can just continue as they wish.

They got those letters more than 15 years ago so it would seem that they are in fact covered. They say that it is an �experimental market operated for academic research and teaching purposes.� Well, if I go on any online gambling site and play slots and lose, that was research as well. Not only that, but I learned that I am an idiot to go play at online gambling. But somehow that is wrong.
