What Responsibility Do Portals Have?

Online gambling grows exponentially on a daily basis, and when participating in it one has to be aware of the dangers that can befall you for logging into these online casinos and giving them your money. However, with that in mind, what if you are on a site that you trust and it sends you to a site that cannot be � who is responsible for your loss?

Many consumers are wondering just want responsibility the portals have towards them if they are in fact recommending sites and linking to online gambling sites that will ultimately end up being a rogue advertiser. Winning and betting usually don�t really go together as so few actually do both � but if you are going to participate and you are successful, why should you then have to worry about getting your money back?

For many people, you go to an online gambling site that you were linked to from a place that you trusted � you play a little � you win a little or a lot � and then you never see the actual payout. This is the reason many go to the recommendation sites first as they expect to be directed to a site they can trust.

However, what if the site that you are sent to is an advertiser of the online gambling site that you went to for advice? In many cases the recommendation sites downplay problems with their advertisers as they simply do not want to bite the hand that feeds them. So are they giving deliberately misleading information or are they simply telling you what you want to hear (and what their advertisers want you to hear) by not giving all of the details?

By glossing over the problems with the online gambling sites that they are recommending and are advertising with them, many feel that they are culpable when you lose your money. As this is quickly becoming a real issue with many online gambling operators, many are now questioning the referral sites as well � which could seriously hurt those that do tell you the truth � no matter what.
