Risks
Much
By
Outlawing
Online
Gambling
May

The
United
States
is
maintaining
its
position
on
not
allowing
the
processing
of
payments
of
online
gambling
to
be
legal
in
the
country.
However,
it
comes
as a
detriment
to
the
country,
for
by
not
regulating
online
gambling,
they
are
putting
the
country
at
risk
for
several
penalties
from
countries
around
the
globe.
Recent
surveys
have
all
shown
that
the
majority
of
Americans
not
only
feel
that
online
gambling
is
an
entertaining
way
to
spend
their
time,
but
that
even
if
they
don’t
participate
they
feel
it
should
be
legal.
It
seems
that
only
our
government
is
dead
set
against
the
realization
that
online
gambling
should
be
legal
and
regulated.
The
European
Union
and
the
US
have
already
reached
an
agreement
as
it
pertains
to
online
gambling,
and
Antigua
and
Costa
Rica
are
still
fighting
the
US
to
make
it
legal.
Either
that
or
they
expect
stiff
penalties
to
be
paid.
They
say
that
the
US
has
violated
the
World
Trade
Organization
treaties
and
they
want
compensation.
Now
it
seems
that
the
EU
is
also
looking
to
get
in
on
the
arbitration
between
these
countries,
and
if
this
happens
the
US
is
probably
going
to
pull
out
of
their
GATS
commitment.
If
that
happens,
online
gambling
is
going
to
cost
us
more
than
just
a
couple
of
friends
–
like
our
neighbors
to
the
north
and
Japan.
There
is
an
easy
way
for
the
US
to
take
care
of
the
pending
problems
–
regulate
online
gambling.
It
would
bring
us
in
billions
of
dollars
and
save
us
more
than
we
can
possibly
count.
